A LITTLE ABOUT ME
I’ve been a Utah resident my entire life. I grew up in Draper, lived in Salt Lake City through college (downtown and Millcreek), and currently live in Riverton. Both of my parents are accountants, but they were heavily invested in Real Estate prior to 2008. I wasn’t old enough to understand what was happening at the time. I just knew that money was tight. Looking back, some of my greatest attributes come from my parents during this time. It taught me to purchase needs rather than wants, to pay myself first, and what hard-work really meant. I worked full time through a 4 year college degree and graduated in May of 2020 with my B.S. in Finance and Minor in Business Administration from the University of Utah. I generally spend my limited free-time chasing my hyperactive puppy (Myla, but her nickname is the Wild Bohemian), racing motorcycles, snowboarding, scuba diving with sharks, or playing around with excel spreadsheets!
I’ve been in the industry since 2015, and I don’t want to bore you with the details of my time in the industry. I’ve had some amazing managers that I still talk to consistently, and some managers that haven’t been so great. I spent 4 years specializing in VA loans, and 2 years “doing it all”. I’ve worked with thousands of families, all with unique situations (anywhere from structuring an investor’s portfolio to walking through a first time home buyer through different strategies for long term growth). I always strive to make sure my clients have the best experience possible, even if that’s taking phone calls late at night!
I founded Luneta Home Loans for 2 primary reasons: education and transparency. I’ve expanded on characteristics that I liked and worked well with previous companies and managers, and taken note of the items that I want to avoid. I’ve incorporated more of an educational approach to working through loans and training employees. I’ve always prioritized saving money, finding the best deal, quick service, and hard work – all of which have been incorporated into the values of my company. I am definitely not your average mortgage guy. I don’t see mortgages as a 9-5 job. I see families that have dreams, and it’s my responsibility to make those dreams a reality!
